Child vaccinations offered at Quesnel Health Unit, 511 Reid St., on Nov. 3, 8:45 a.m.-4 p.m.

With the flu season upon us, vaccinations are in full swing.

Child vaccinations are being offered at the Quesnel Health Unit, 511 Reid St., today (Nov. 3) between 8:45 a.m. and 4 p.m. and on Nov. 10 at G.R. Baker Hospital, 543 Front St., between 8:45 a.m and 11:30 a.m. These vaccinations are safe for children six months and up.

Vaccinations for all ages run at GR Baker Hospital on Nov. 17 and 24 and Dec. 1, 7, and 21 between 8:45 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

All of the above clinics are by-appointment only, and can be made by calling 250-991-7571.

Drop-in clinics run at the Quesnel Seniors’ Centre, 461 Carson Ave., on Nov. 6 between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., and Nov. 16 between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Flu vaccines are free for adults over 65 years and over, people at high risk or capable of transmitting the flu to people at high risk and to people who provide essential community services.

Flu shots are available throughout the flu-season from your family physician or nurse practitioner and at any community pharmacy.
