Despite drenching rain, the spirit was bright in downtown Chilliwack Saturday evening as residents lined the streets for the annual Rotary Santa Claus Parade.
Although the weather outside was frightful, there was plenty of hot chocolate and even free chili supplied by Bowls of Hope to keep parade watchers warm.
Their patience was rewarded as the brightly lit floats wound their way down Wellington Ave and through the downtown.
But the biggest cheer was reserved for the Jolly Old Elf himself who waved from his sleigh to end the parade.
