WHEN LACK of volunteers and having only a few floats enter forced the Dec. 10 cancellation of the Terrace and District Chamber of Commerce’s Kermodei Parade of Lights, local Kinsman Corey Bonnar sat down at his keyboard.
Typing out a plea to the community and a pledge to have Terrace Kinsmen lead the way, Bonnar’s letter has resulted in a Christmas hayride this evening.
It starts at 6:30 pm from the provincial liquor store parking lot.
“We will wind our way slowly to the [George Little Park] via Lakelse turning at the Coast Inn [of the West[,” writes Kinsman Bruce Martindale in a follow up posting to Bonnar’s email.
“We will have some songbooks and will finish at the park with hot chocolate. We have three trailers with hay, but expect more than we can accommodate, so come and walk a long unless you have another trailer to bring,” Martindale continues.
“Otherwise, just call all your friends, bring your family and let’s just have some good Christmas fun,” he said.
