With no new councillors to break in, Armstrong’s committee structure has pretty much stayed the same.
Mayor Chris Pieper made only one small change, appointing Sully O’Sullivan to head up the public works committee, replacing Shirley Fowler who stays with the committee along with John Trainor.
“Shirley is staying with the regional district so I’m just evening out the workload,” said Pieper.
Fowler continues as the city’s representative to the Regional District of North Okanagan board.
Ryan Nitchie remains the head of the planning and development committee, Paul Britton resumes as chair of the community services committee and Trainor stays as chair of finance and administration, whose portfolio has added bylaw enforcement.
Kelly Rowe and O’Sullivan remain as Armstrong’s appointments to the parks and recreation commission. O’Sullivan carries on as regional library board rep, along with seniors housing.
Britton was appointed a city liaison to the Okanagan Boys and Girls Club and the Armstrong Spallumcheen Chamber of Commerce, while Nitchie will serve as the city’s First Nations liaison. The duo, plus Fowler, will be Armstrong’s representatives to the joint programs committee with Spallumcheen.
