The Family Fun Night and PJ Party Fundraiser and Silent Auction held at the Ridge on Sunday evening, Feb. 7, was a first class success.
The event is in its second year of celebrating Family Day in the community of Barriere, and even though Family Day officially didn’t take place until Monday, their was no stopping the number of parents and youngsters who turned out to the Ridge where kids enjoyed a full smorgasbord of activities. On the agenda was a full evening of Uncle Chris the clown, a bouncy castle, a DJ hosted dance, movies, a magic show, Barrie The Bear, arts and crafts, free books and puzzles, and concessions with popcorn, candy floss, hot dogs and cup cakes. Parents were able to take a peaceful moment in a room provided just for them for quiet conversation, a free neck and back massage, or other beauty care presentations.
The event ran from 5:30 – 9 p.m., then parents collected up their happy kids (already in pajamas) and headed for home.
