Crews battling flame, traffic flow halted

Firefighters battled a fire that broke out at the Co-op Gas Station in Whiskey Creek this afternoon (June 17).

It’s not known how the fire started but it quickly spread and went up the ceiling of the structure. District 69 firefighters were dispatched to the scene headed by the Coombs-Hilliers Volunteer Fire Department. Other fire departments were called in for more man power and equipment.

Traffic on Highway 4 in both directions has been halted.
