A Coldstream fire could have been far worse than it was.
Firefighters were called to the 500 block of Middleton Close Sunday at 4:08 p.m.
“We got in and got it out,” said Dave Sturgeon, fire chief, adding that the cause of a pot on a stove.
“There were flames on the stove. Without the quick response, it would have been something else.”
There was minimal fire damage but there was significant smoke so the family could not reside in the house Sunday night.
