Salmon Arm RCMP and emergency crews rescued a 30-year-old Alberta woman from her vehicle and took her to hospital following a two-vehicle crash on the Trans-Canada Highway near Balmoral Road Tuesday, April 5.

RCMP report the woman’s injuries were serious, but not life threatening.

The woman’s black Hyundai was travelling west on the highway in the late afternoon when a F550 work truck turned left into the eastbound lane.

The two vehicles collided, partially blocking the highway. Single-lane traffic resulted in delays as the accident was cleaned up.
