A Vernon cyclist continues to recover from injuries after a collision with a vehicle.
At about 10:30 p.m. Aug. 12, police report that a male cyclist pulled in front of a northbound GMC Sierra at 27th Street and 37th Avenue.
“It appears the cyclist didn’t look either way,” said Gord Molendyk, RCMP spokesperson.
The 27-year-old resident was thrown off the bicycle and then transported to Vernon Jubilee Hospital with head injuries and fractures to the leg.
Molendyk does not believe the injuries are life-threatening.
The vehicle sustained significant damage.
No charges are being contemplated by the RCMP.
