Thornhill Fire Department responded to a call of structure fire at a Noon Day Moon Towing and Mechanical Services on 3700 block of River Drive. Upon gaining entry firefighters found a highway tractor unit on fire inside the shop.

Crews were able to quickly extinguish the blaze and ventilate the building before pulling the vehicle outdoors. Thornhill fire chief Rick Boehm says there was minor heat damage above the area and major smoke damage to the interior of the building.
Workers were arriving on scene when the fire was discovered. No injuries were reported.
