Community grieves for mother of Roxanne Louie

An outpouring of support for Beverly Anne Louie, the mother of Roxanne Louie, has appeared on social media.

Update: The BC Coroners Service confirmed Beverly was the driver and sole occupant of an SUV that left the roadway and rolled down an embankment in the 3100-block of Nik’Mip Road around 5 a.m. Oct. 10.

Another tragedy has befallen the Louie family.

Beverly Anne Louie, the mother of Roxanne Louie, is dead after her car drove off an embankment just north of Osoyoos on Oct. 10.

The community has posted support and sympathy on social media websites since the incident.

Roxanne, a 26-year-old single mother and member of the Osoyoos Indian Band was found dead in Jan. 2015, and since Penticton siblings Grace and Pier Robotti have both been charged with second-degree murder.

The trial has yet to begin, but was recently moved to Kelowna.
