The Comox Valley RCMP are investigating after several reports of mischief at a local private school.
Since September, Phil and Jennie Gaglardi Academy located at 1475 Noel Avenue, in Comox, has reported seven incidents of vandalism to its property. The majority of the vandalism is graffiti related; however for a few days in October, small fires were started on the property. No significant damage was sustained, as it appeared the area was being used to hang out. Unfortunately litter and debris were left to be cleaned up.
“We are currently investigating three separate incidents, since the end of January, where unknown person(s) have spray-painted graffiti on the building,” said Const. Rob Gardner, Comox Valley RCMP media relations officer. “Some of the content of the graffiti was very disturbing, and certainly not what the kids need to be exposed to. Anyone caught vandalizing property could be charged with mischief.”
