The leader of Canada’s official opposition is coming to the North Okanagan-Shuswap.

The local Conservative Association will host party leader Andrew Scheer Wednesday at a lunch at Salmon Arm’s Marine Peace Park from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

“This is your opportunity to hear about his vision for Canada, ask your questions and meet other Conservatives from our riding,” states a release.

In May, Scheer, a Saskatchewan MP, rose to the top over 12 other candidates to replace former leader Stephen Harper.

Scheer is a former speaker of the House of the Commons.

Tickets for lunch are $10 and they can be purchased at http://www.nosca.ca/nosca-events
