Copper wires stolen from home under construction in Grand Forks

Copper wires were reported stolen from a home under construction in Grand Forks on May 26.

A house under construction on Riverside Drive in Grand Forks was broken into on May 26 at 6:30 p.m.

Someone stole a pile of copper wire from the site.

“Strangely enough, all the tools were left behind but all the copper wires were stolen,” said Grand Forks RCMP Staff Sgt. Jim Harrison. “There is thousands of dollars worth of damage because they pulled out all their copper wiring out of the house under construction.

There are no suspects or witnesses, but if anyone has any knowledge about it, please let us know, stated Harrison.
