In an article that appeared in the June 1 edition of the Mirror, titled Plan extends life of landfill, it was reported the Comox Strathcona Solid Waste Management Board made a decision last Monday to replace the city dump with a transfer station.

In fact, the board had voted more than one month ago to fund a temporary transfer station at the landfill. The Mirror regrets the error.

A timeline, that includes approximately one year of use of the temporary transfer station to transfer waste from Campbell River to Cumberland, will be voted on by board members at a meeting June 16.
