With approximately 200 members of the ATV community present at its regular meeting tonight, council approved a new ATV bylaw that permits the use of off road vehicles on private property but sets fines for riders using the KVR trail through Princeton.

The amended bylaw 925 received three readings, and may be adopted as early as September, said mayor Frank Armitage.

Armitage also pledged to strike a committee in the coming days that will bring representatives of all trail groups together to work on solutions for sharing the trail with motorized users.
