Council elects to donate 50/50 money to Crime Stoppers

Draw will be held during Southern Local Government Association convention April 24 - 27

The Southern Local Government Association Convention (SILGA) is coming to Revelstoke April 24- 27.

Every year the local government convention holds a 50/50 draw with the money raised donated to a local not-for-profit organization.

On March 27, City Council elected to donate the money collected at the SILGA to the Revelstoke Crime Stoppers.

Councillor Connie Brothers suggested Crime Stoppers as a suitable candidate for the donation.

Councillor Linda Nixon put forward a motion to donate the money collected at the SILGA convention to Crime Stoppers.

She called them, “a tried and true group that work hard.”
