Council has received the Cariboo-Chilcontin Climate Change Adaptation Strategy.
This strategy looks at the sustainability of the environment and looks to provide tools to communities to decrease their greenhouse gas emissions.
Adaptation of the climate change strategy is an important response at a local level, as it can be tailor-made for different communities and can be enacted more quickly.
The strategy looks at the next 20 – 30 years and developed ways to adapt to climate change such as emergency plans, greenhouse gas management and sustainability checklists.
