A 60-tonne section of crane fell off a semi-trailer on Monday night in Abbotsford, resulting in a clean-up operation that took several hours.
The incident took place just before 11 p.m., when the truck was travelling south in a roundabout on Mt. Lehman Road, south of Fraser Highway.
One of the tie-downs snapped that was holding the crane in place, resulting in a chain reaction that broke the other tie-downs.
The section crashed to the ground and was damaged. A large crane had to be brought in to lift the section on to a flatbed truck.
No other vehicles were damaged in incident, and no one was injured.
