Crash on Quesnel River Bridge backs up southbound traffic

At least three vehicles were involved in the collision, which took place on the bridge

  • May. 13, 2021 12:00 a.m.

Southbound traffic on Highway 97 on the Quesnel River Bridge has completely stopped due to at least a three vehicle collision.

The crash took place in the southbound lane right on the Quesnel River bridge, with a green truck showing major damage to its front end. The truck struck another vehicle, which also appeared to damage a car.

Quesnel RCMP, BC Ambulance and the Quesnel Fire Department are on the bridge with no word on potential injuries.

Traffic is backed up. A crash last week near the Quesnel River Bridge lead to alternating single-lane traffic across the bridge.
