The countdown is on for Gord Perrin and the Canadian men’s volleyball team. The team went down to the wire in a qualifying tournament in Japan earlier this summer, but is now settled into the Athletes’ Village in Rio de Janeiro and preparing for its first Olympic action.

On Sunday, August 8, Team Canada goes up against the USA for its first march in Pool A.

Gord’s parents, Dave and Ruth Perrin, are on their way to Rio to witness Creston’s first Olympic athlete in action.

Dave will be sending reports to the Creston Valley Advance and we will post them as they are received.
