Cullen builds on win

NEW Democrat Nathan Cullen reminds supporters to go and vote this afternoon.

Nathan Cullen continues to build on his win with 1,671 votes compared to Conservative Clay Harmon’s 678 with 35 of 250 polls reporting.

Cullen’s lead works out to 65.6 per cent of the vote compared to Harmon’s 26.6 per cent.

The other candidates are polling far behind. Green Roger Benham has 80 votes, Liberal Kyle Warwick has 79 votes, Rod Taylor from the Christian Heritage Party has 31 votes and Maggie Braun from the Canadian Action Party has 9 votes.

Nationally, the Conservatives have a solid majority government with 167 seats. The NDP will become the official opposition with 105 seats.

The Liberals have 30 seats and the Bloc Quebecois is reduced to three seats.
