Cultural safety and humility on the virtual agenda for Chilliwack

Taking part online requires preregistration with Chilliwack Healthier Community to get Zoom link.

It’s a chance to learn more about cultural safety and humility from an Indigenous perspective.

The June 24 virtual event, ‘Cultural Safety and Humility: Strengthening Community through Relationship Building’ starts at 10:30 a.m.

Taking part requires preregistration to get the Zoom link.

Attendees will find out more about the new Indigenous Welcome Centre from project manager Gwendolyn Point, and Janit Doyle, director of operations, Indigenous Services & Early Years, Ministry of Child and Family Development, and Gracie Kelly, Indigenous relations manager for Chilliwack Division of Family Practice.

Discussions will cover topics from cultural safety, to Chilliwack Métis House, and A Path to Reconciliation: Cheam First Nation and Sardis Community Church.

Chilliwack Healthier Community (CHC) is a network focused on affordable/accessible housing, mental health, addictions, poverty reduction and cultural safety and humility.
