Dead man did not meet foul play


Police now say they do not find the discovery of a man's remains as something they need to investigate further.

Police are now saying that a body they found in Whalley on Monday morning was not a victim of foul play.

The body of a man was discovered at 6:20 a.m. Monday in Robertson Park in the 12700-block of 92 Avenue.

The cause of death and identity of the individual had not yet been determined by The Leader’s press time on Monday. But police now say the man wasn’t killed by another party.

As of Monday at about 10 a.m., police were still interviewing witnesses in the area and had cordoned off the area.
