Delta Police are looking for the public’s help in solving an arson that occurred in North Delta last year.
On Dec. 26, 2016 at approximately 2 p.m., police and fire crews responded to a report of a fire at A Class Auto Body, located at 11954 94th Ave. The business was closed at the time and no one was injured in the fire.
The initial DPD investigation found that a male approached the rear of the business, set it and a truck on fire, then walked away from the area. A short time later a vehicle police believe was involved in the incident was seen leaving the general area.
The suspect is described as male, wearing blue jeans, a dark jacket and a grey hoodie. The vehicle is a green Volkswagen hatchback with a single roof rack, and is missing a hubcap on the front-right wheel.
Delta Police believe that there were two occupants within the vehicle, and that one or both may have information that would assist in the investigation.
Delta Police are asking for the public’s assistance to identify the owner of the vehicle that was seen leaving the area. Anyone with information regarding this vehicle or the incident itself is asked to call Delta Police and quote file 16-27027 or call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
