Investigation continues into the Sept. 26 incident near the 25th Avenue fountain

More information may soon be available on the death of a Vernon man.

The RCMP anticipate releasing some details within the next 24 hours on Terrance Fergus, 47, whose body was found near the Polson Park fountain on 25th Avenue Sept. 26 at 9:30 p.m.

An autopsy on Fergus was conducted Sept. 28.

The investigation continues and foul play has not been ruled out  at this point.

Cpl. Gerry Kovacs says the RCMP are trying to reassure the public that Polson Park is a safe place to visit.

“The police are doing extra patrols and bylaw enforcement is making its presence known,” he said.
