RCMP officers from Castlegar and Trail spent much of Friday at a home on 7th Avenue across from the Castlegar hospital. However, police have not released any details on what was going on, due in part to a court-imposed publication ban. Two people appeared to have been arrested. Witnesses said the hospital parking lot was also locked down.
