Vernon motorists are warned of several detours in effect around town.
In addition to the Pleasant Valley Road construction, some additional work will occupy 35th Street and 27th Avenue until mid to late September.
The detour runs along 35th Street from 26th Ave. to 28th Ave. and along 27th Ave. from 35th St. to 28th St.
The roads are being upgraded, including replacement of underwater utilities such as water, sewer and stormwater systems in addition to the construction of new sidewalks and curbs.
Drivers are reminded to obey all signs and be aware of flaggers in the area, and are advised to use alternate routes to avoid no-through roads.
