The snowfall Monday evening didn’t stop Langford council from plowing through their agenda on schedule.
After weeks of working with the Westshore Developers Association, City staff presented a report summarizing nearly 60 proposed amendments relating to a subdivision and land development servicing bylaw. While several dealt with general housekeeping matters, others were more specific. Amended regulations relate to retaining and stacked-rock walls, restrictions for blasting on development properties, a relaxing of cul-de-sac design to accommodate more challenging terrains and simplifying storm water management.
Staff suggested that a report be presented in six months to update council on the effectiveness of the changes. Council agreed and gave first, second and third reading to the omnibus amendments.
