Chilliwack RCMP are looking for witnesses who may have seen a pickup truck hit a pedestrian on Monday afternoon at the corner of First and Cheam avenues.
The call to RCMP came in at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 18 to report the collision between a truck and a woman.
“Officers immediately arrived at the location where BC Ambulance personnel were providing medical attention to the pedestrian who had suffered serious non-life threatening injuries,” said RCMP Cpl. Mike Rail, spokesperson for the UFVRD.
The pedestrian, a 48-year-old woman from Chilliwack, was taken to hospital by BC Ambulance.
The alleged driver of the pickup, 37-year-old man from Chilliwack, remained on scene and cooperated with police.
“The pedestrian remains in hospital receiving medical attention for her injuries,” said Cpl. Rail.
Investigating officers are now reaching out to the public for eye witnesses, or drivers with dash cameras who may come forward with recorded images of the collision. They are asked to contact Chilliwack RCMP.
