Over the past few weeks Cranbrook and Kimberley RCMP received several reports of a subject enjoying a meal at one of the local restaurants and left without paying.
The subject was arrested, Thursday Jan 12 and will be appearing in court in March.
The subject ate meals at three restaurants in Kimberley and two in Cranbrook but departed without paying, racking up several hundred dollars in unpaid meals.
From witnesses and video surveillance police were able to identify the male, who also had an outstanding warrant of arrest.
A sharp eyed officer in Cranbrook spotted him Thursday morning and was able to make an arrest. Police will be recommending up to seven charges of Obtain Food by Fraud.
