A 25-year-old male was sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, then arrested following a suspected drunk-dirt-biking crash in Mission.
The crash occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m., July 3, on the 12000 Block of Sylvester Road, near the intersection with Cascade Ridge Drive north of Durieu.
Emergency scanners initially reported a “high-velocity crash,” and Medevac was notified before being called off. No other vehicles were involved.
The man was sent to Abbotsford Regional Hospital, suffering from a wrist and lower arm injury, said to Sgt. Jason Raaflaub, media officer with the Mission RCMP.
He was then arrested for prohibited driving and given a 90 day suspension for refusing to provide a breath sample, Raaflaub said.
“Alcohol and speed are being investigated as possible causes of the crash.”
