A dog park, community garden and new playground are among the improvements proposed for Vic West Park.
Over the summer, residents generated ideas about upgrades they would like to see done to the second largest park in the Vic West neighbourhood.
Among those proposed park improvements include a fenced dog off-leash area, field improvements to the primary ball diamond and new seating, space for a community garden, larger playground equipment, washrooms and pathway improvements.
Improvements to the playground and beginners’ bowl of the skate park, and the fenced area for dogs will be done first.
The park currently includes a multi-use field, a lawn bowling club, basketball court, two parking areas and a playground.
