Emcon ServicesInc has announced that the Dogtooth Bridge, which crosses the Columbia River and provides access to Kicking Horse Trail, the route up to the ski hill, will be closed nightly for work in early Ocotber.
The closures will be from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m, starting Monday, Oct. 4. The target is to have the works complete by Friday, Oct. 8 at 6 a.m., however if needed, two hour closures will resume on Tuesday, Oct. 12 and conclude Oct. 15t at 6 a.m.
Sections of the bridge are being replaced, with Emcon saying that they will be replacing crossties and re-decking the wheel path of the bridge.
There will be no vehicle access to the bridge during this time.
