Hope’s newest retail store, a Dollarama dollar store outlet, has opened as of Tuesday.

The store, located in the commercial complex across from Starbucks at 590 Old Hope Princeton Way, opened Tuesday, July 22. Dollarama will be Hope’s second dollar store, alongside the Wallace Street Lucky Dollar Plus store.

Dollarama will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. The store has posted notices allowing a maximum of 40 customers in the store at one time and asking those who are displaying symptoms or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 not to enter the store.

As well, customers are asked to maintain physical distancing and paying by credit and debit card wherever possible. “We encourage you to bring your own bags and bag your purchases yourself to promote social distancing,” a notice on the front door of the store read.

The store is also encouraging the first hour of operations be dedicated for seniors and people with chronic health conditions, another notice read.

The Hope Standard has reached out to Dollarama for an interview request, we have not heard back as of publication time.
