arksville’s acting mayor is doubling up on feedback as he prepares to sip coffee and listen to residents’ concerns.

Chris Burger plans to double the number of Coffee With Council sessions with local residents, with the additional klatches slated for a more accessible time.

In addition to regularly scheduled Thursday afternoon Coffee with Council, Parksville council will also host Coffee with Council on the second Monday evening of the month, from 6 to 8 p.m.

The first evening session with council members will be held on Monday, March 14.

As with the afternoon sessions, residents are encouraged to stop by for an informal chat with members of Parksville council, with no appointment necessary.

“Coffee with the Mayor has been running successfully for two years. We look forward to changing it up a little by including other members of council at the sessions and offering an evening session once a month,” said Burger. “This is a wonderful opportunity for council to speak personally with residents, one on one.”

These sessions are designed to provide residents with a comfortable and informal forum in which to meet elected officials, ask questions, discuss issues and concerns and offer comments and suggestions.

The coffee pot will be on.
