Towne Centre Mall has changed hands

Downtown Kelowna staple changes hands

It is poised to play an important role in retail as the area undergoes planned densification

Towne Centre Mall on Bernard Avenue has been sold.

“As the largest retail entity in the downtown area, Towne Centre Mall anchors retail in the southeast quadrant of downtown. It is poised to play an important role in retail as the area undergoes planned densification, with the development of Central Green and other proposed projects in the area,” reads a statement put out by Perry Freeman of Colliers International

Towne Centre Mall offers a boutique indoor shopping experience and is home to several longtime, highly recognizable retail tenants including MacDermott’s Mens Wear, Ten Fashions Bridal Boutique, Annegrets Chocolates, La Belle Boutique, AMNI Apparel and Molly’s Garden Café.

Completed in 1981, Towne Centre Mall is the only enclosed shopping mall in the downtown area and is located on a 1.46 acre site. The mall itself has 54,365 sf of leasable space, comprised of over 25,000 sf of retail space on the main retail level and over 28,000 sf of office space on the second floor.
