Sooke RCMP are looking for public info after more than $50,000 worth of hand and power tools were stolen from a construction site in East Sooke last week.
The thefts occurred sometime between 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday (March 8) and 8:30 a.m. on Thursday (March 9) after individuals broke into a cargo trailer parked on a construction site on 7100 block of East Sooke Rd, said Staff Sgt. Jeff McArthur.
Two local tradesmen have lost their tools of the trade amounting to a financial loss of more than $50,000, McArthur added.
Partial list of the stolen tools includes: two 12-inch Dewalt Sliding Compound Mitre saws, three 10-inch Table Saws, numerous framing nailers, nine 6’8″, 4″, 12″ Stabila Levels, one Stabila laser level and tripod, three air compressors, Dewalt skill saws, two Dewalt chop saws, Bostitch and Pasload Air Nailers, Framing, two 4″ Makita Grinders, and three Makita Cordless Drills.
