Vehicle impounded

West Kelowna police conducted enforcement for aggressive drivers last week on Highway 97C and impounded several vehicles for excessive speeding, prohibited driving and impairment.

On May 23, a 28-year-old woman from Deep Creek was stopped for speeding and found to be prohibited from driving.

Police say she was also exhibiting symptoms of impairment and provided breath samples roadside that led to a three-day immediate roadside prohibition.

Her vehicle was also impounded.

Drivers found to be exceeding the speed limit by 40 km/h or more are subject to fines of $368 to $483 as well as a mandatory seven-day impound.
