Driver injured in rural Lumby

RCMP attended to a rollover in the 4300 block of Highway 6 at 5:45 a.m. Monday

A single-vehicle accident in rural Lumby Monday  sent the lone occupant to hospital.

Ambulance services requested RCMP attend the rollover in the 4300 block of Highway 6 at 5:45 a.m.

“There was dense fog in the area at the time, and the driver was trapped in his pickup,” said Vernon-North Okanagan RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk.

The Lumby Fire Department attended, removed the hood of the truck and was able to get the 20-year-old driver out of the vehicle.

The man was taken to Vernon Jubilee Hospital with injuries to his leg.
