A 20-year-old woman from Prince George avoided serious injury in a single-vehicle accident north of Vernon Tuesday.

The woman was northbound on Highway 97 at Old Kamloops Road just after 4 p.m. when her 2000 Ford Explorer clipped a centre divider and rolled three times.

The driver, who had just completed her first day of work at a new job, was taken to Vernon Jubilee Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Emergency crews say alcohol and speed were not factors in the accident.
