One person has been transported to hospital after their vehicle flipped over within the City of Castlegar.
The incident happened around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21 when a vehicle heading into Castlegar from the Highway 3 off ramp lost control and launched off the ramp, landing on its side in the parking lot behind the Home Hardware store on 18th Street.
Fire Chief Sam Lattanzio says its not the first time a car has ended up in that spot after loosing control on the ramp.
While he can not speak specifically to the causes of this incident, Lattanzio says roads can become surprisingly icy in late afternoons on sunny days. He encourages drivers to slow down and be aware of road conditions.
