TRAVEL ADVISORIES remain on some highways in all directions from Terrace this morning as the winter’s first severe storm continues to make its presence felt.
“Travel is not recommended unless absolutely necessary,” caution provincial transportation officials on some roads.
There are reports of limited visibility because of blowing snow in some areas and, particularly getting closer to the coast, freezing rain on roads.
Air traffic at the Northwest Regional Airport appears normal so far this morning but one Air Canada Jazz flight leaving Vancouver is listed as being delayed.
There did not appear to be a lot of snowplowing on main roads in Terrace this morning, making driving challenging for the hardy souls who ventured out.
The airline cancelled flights yesterday because of extreme weather conditions.
Temperatures are expected to rise as the week gets underway.
