TERRACE RCMP responded to approximately 32 calls for service from August 20th, 8 a.m. till August 21st, 8 a.m.
During the same time period, there were eight people lodged in Terrace Cells – seven of these people were lodged for public intoxication.
Downtown Terrace
two intoxicated men at the Spirit Night Club on Lakelse Ave. Police arrested a 57-year-old man for public intoxication. The other 51-year-old man was mildly intoxicated and sent on his way. He was arrested for public intoxication an hour later on a complaint of a man stumbling into traffic on Lakelse Ave.
intoxicated 61-year-old man arrested outside of the Coast on Lakelse Ave.
a rental car was not returned. Police spoke with the people involved and an agreement was reached in this civil matter.
possible intoxicated driver in a red van westbound on Greig Ave. Checks were done of area.
intoxicated person wandering down Lakelse Ave. Police arrested a 45-year-old woman for public intoxication.
Elsewhere Terrace
vandalism. The tires of two vehicles parked on Davis Ave were slashed. Ongoing investigation.
threats complaint. Ongoing investigation.
theft from an unlocked white 2010 Acura parked on Labelle Ave. A flash drive, wallet, and change were stolen. The wallet was recovered.
theft from an unlocked green 2002 Toyota Camry parked on Lambly Ave.
Loss Prevention Officer of Walmart arrested a 25-year-old woman for shoplifting. Police arrested the woman and a charge of theft is being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
theft of medication. A woman returned home to find her house sitter had disappeared along with various medications. The house sitter was female and around 40 years of age.
motorcycle being ridden in a field behind Cassie Hall. Checks were done of the area.
a window of a travel trailer parked on Dairy Ave. was broken. No evidence of a crime having been committed.
intoxicated man breaking things inside of a residence. Police arrested a 45-year-old man for mischief.
intoxicated 19-year-old man refusing to leave a residence. He left on his own accord prior to police attendance.
suspicious noises outside of a residence on Haugland Ave. Checks were done of the area. It was a neighbour.
man passed out on Keith Ave. Police arrested a 28-year-old man for public intoxication.
historical sexual assault investigation.
suicidal 22-year-old man. Police spoke with the man. Unsubstantiated.
breach of a no contact order. Police spoke with the people involved.
a fight between a 28-year-old man and a 45-year-old man in the Terrace Detachment cells. Under investigation.
man passed out on a bench in the George Little Park. Police arrested 36-year-old man for public intoxication. He had just been released from jail for public intoxication just a couple hours prior.
man staggering down Park Ave. Police spoke with the elderly man who was fine.
Thornhill
two suspicious men at Old Lakelse Lake Dr./Clark St. Police spoke with a 20-year-old man. No offence committed.
vehicle obstructing traffic on Muller Ave. Checks were done of the area.
intoxicated suicidal man yelling outside of a residence on Queensway Dr. Police arrested the 40-year-old man on an outstanding warrant as well as for breaching a no consume alcohol conditions of probation. He was held for court.
suspicious white car parked at the Welcome to Terrace sign on Hwy 16. Police spoke with a woman inside of the car who was sleeping.
Rural
a red 2007 Pontiac G5 lost control on Kalum Lake Rd. near Deep Creek Rd. and hit the ditch. The 22-year-old driver suffered minor injuries. The vehicle sustained extensive damage.
