Drunk man threatens employees at workplace, returns with weapon

Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 105 calls for service from September 23rd, 8 a.m. till September 26th, 8 a.m.

Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 105 calls for service from September 23rd, 8 a.m. till September 26th, 8 a.m.

During the same time period, 17 people were lodged in Terrace cells – 13 of these people were lodged for intoxication.

Here are some of the calls responded to:

A backpack with contents was stolen from a Jeep Cherokee parked in a parking lot on Molitor St. sometime during the night of Sept 22/23. A door lock was broken to gain access.

Two pigs on the loose tearing up and eating a neighbor’s garden on Beaver Cr. Police requested the assistance of Terrace Bylaws and the pigs were rounded up and secured back into their pen.

Breach of a no contact condition. Under investigation.

Group of people causing a disturbance on Lakelse Ave. Police spoke with the group. A youth continued to cause a disturbance and ran down the road, impeding traffic and removing his shirt. The youth was arrested after a short foot pursuit. Charges of breach are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

A white 1992 Acura and a 2004 Dodge Ram were involved in a collision on Lakelse Ave. near Atwood St. No injuries. Minor damage to both vehicles.

Suicidal person. The person was located and transported to Mills Memorial hospital by BC Ambulance for assessment.

Theft. A person falsely signed for delivery of a package. Under investigation.

Fight in the park. Police arrested an intoxicated man. Checks determined that he was breaching conditions. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

Domestic dispute. An intoxicated man attended a woman’s place of work and uttered threats to her and others. He left prior to police attendance then returned a short time later with a weapon. He again left prior to police attendance. He was eventually located and arrested. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

Fight at the Northern. A person flung blood and spit at another person. Under investigation.

Assault investigation. A woman was transported to Mills Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries.

Domestic assault. A man assaulted a woman then assaulted another man and woman who attempted to intervene. Under investigation.

A person urinating in gas tanks of vehicles parked at a motel on Lakelse Ave. Under investigation.

An eastbound GMC Silverado truck turning left onto the Sande Overpass collided with a westbound Honda Accord. No injuries. Both vehicles were towed.

An eastbound Chevrolet Impala turning left onto the Sande Overpass collided with a westbound Ford Fusion. No injuries. The Ford was towed.

A blue/grey 2014 Dodge truck hit the ditch and flipped onto its roof on Old Lakelse Lake Dr. No injuries. The 18-year-old driver provided two samples of breath that resulted in fails. He was issued an Immediate Roadside Prohibition.

Assist Terrace Fire Department with a camper trailer fire near the Kalum Quarry on Kalum Forest Service Road.

Shoplifter at Walmart. An off duty RCMP member assisted the Walmart employee when the thief resisted arrest. Police arrested the 38-year-old man. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

An eastbound grey 2003 Dodge SX2 attempting to turn left onto the Sande Overpass collided with westbound blue 2016 Dodge Ram. No injuries. The Dodge SX2 was towed.

A purple Ford Explorer was pulled over on Lakelse Ave. The 38-year-old driver was prohibited from driving. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel. The vehicle he was driving was impounded.
