Drunk teen arrested, second drunk teen taken to hospital

Terrace RCMP responded to 40 calls for service from July 17th, 8 a.m. till July 18th, 8 a.m.

Terrace RCMP responded to 40 calls for service from July 17th, 8 a.m. till July 18th, 8 a.m.

During the same time period, four people were lodged in Terrace cells – two of these people were lodged for intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

Group of people consuming alcohol on Greig Ave. The group dispersed prior to police attendance.

Police observed people drinking alcohol in some bushes near Kalum St. Alcohol was dumped.

Two men swearing and yelling in front of the Coast on Lakelse Ave. Police spoke with two men matching the descriptions provided who were going their separate ways.

Three people drinking alcohol in an alley behind Lakelse Ave. Police located a man in a wheelchair consuming alcohol. It was dumped.

False business alarm on Lakelse Ave.

Group of people acting aggressively in an alley behind Lakelse Ave. Police spoke with a couple people and nothing aggressive was noted.

Impaired driver in a silver GMC truck. Police located the truck parked at a residence on Scott Ave and spoke with some people.

Elsewhere Terrace

Tickets were issued for consuming alcohol in public on Kalum St.

Two girls sleeping in a school field on Sparks St. Police woke up the 13 and 14-year-old girls and they went to a residence to sleep.

A men’s black/tan leather wallet containing various cards and ID was lost on Walsh Ave. on July 13th.

911 call on Thomas St. BC Ambulance had already dealt with the matter.

Intoxicated man on the Sande Overpass. Police caught up to the 18-year-old man in front of Mark’s Work Warehouse on Lakelse Ave. and arrested him.

Shoplifter at Shoppers Drug Mart. An employee followed the man from the store when he set off the theft detectors. Police arrested the 41-year-old man a short distance away. Stolen items were seized from his person. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

Loss Prevention Officer of Walmart arrested a man for shoplifting. Police arrested the 26-year-old man. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

Two intoxicated men causing problems near the Real Canadian Wholesale. Police located the men sitting in a front yard of a residence on Feeney St. sharing a bottle of mouthwash. The men were left in the care of a sober person who moved them to his place.

Breach of a no go condition of a recognizance. Police arrested a 55-year-old man. He is held for court.

Three girls fighting on Loen Ave. Police arrested an intoxicated 18-year-old woman who was trying to fight everyone. A 16-year-old girl was transported to Mills Memorial Hospital by BC Ambulance due to her level of intoxication. Another 16-year-old girl was transported to the care of her parents.

Police observed two suspicious people loitering in a dugout at the Elks Park. Drug paraphernalia and alcohol were seized. The 46-year-old woman and the 44-year-old man have been banned from the park in accordance with Terrace Parks and Public Places Bylaw.

Two men walking on Park Ave. and Pheasant St. looking at houses and garages. Police spoke with the men. They had lost an item and were looking for it.

An intoxicated man trying to get into an apartment on Scott Ave. He left prior to police attendance.

Noise complaint on Haugland Ave. Unfounded.

Disturbance on Tetrault St. Police spoke with a person and checks were conducted of the area.

Suicidal 13-year-old girl. Police spoke with the girl. Unsubstantiated.

An angry sounding party on Haugland Ave. Police spoke with the people involved. The people causing problems were going home.

False business alarm on Kalum St.

Thornhill

Aggressive driving incident. Under investigation.

A wallet was found near the Chevron Gas Lock.

False business alarm on Century St.

A red three-wheeler in the bushes near Paquette Ave./Thornhill Frontage Rd. Police spoke with a man.

Assist Ministry of Children and Families with attendance at a residence.

Rural

Group of people drinking and littering on First Ave.

A work vehicle hooked power lines and pulled them down on First Ave. BC Hydro was contacted.

False 911 call from Beaver Cr. A child was playing with the phone.

False residential alarm on Kalum Lake Rd.

A white Dodge Ram was pulled over at Hwy 16/Hwy 37. The 46-year-old driver was issued an Immediate Roadside Prohibition and the vehicle he was driving was impounded.

A red Ford Ranger abandoned near Williams Creek Trail.

A white Chevrolet company van travelling at a high rate of speed and passing on a double solid between Terrace and Prince Rupert. Checks were done of the area.

Noise complaint. Police spoke with the people involved.
