Drunk woman flees police, urinates on Dallas Road

Victoria woman faces charges of drunk driving and refusing a breathalyzer, and received a driving ban and ticket for public drunkenness.

A woman tried to run from police – into oncoming traffic – and urinated on Dallas Road last weekend.

Paramedics and firefighters first went to Dallas Road at Douglas Street shortly before midnight Saturday to talk to a woman who was slumped over the steering wheel of a car.

She got out of the car and fought with firefighters, then tried to run away. Next, police were called. They tried to take her to a patrol car when she squatted in the middle of Dallas Road to urinate.

Officers then arrested her for public intoxication and asked her to take a breathalyzer, which she refused before trying to run away again – into the middle of the road. Police forced her to the ground to put handcuffs on her, then took her to cells.

The 33-year-old Victoria woman was charged with drunk driving and refusing a breathalyzer, and received a driving ban and ticket for public drunkenness.

According to VicPD’s Deputy Chief John Ducker’s blog, when officers told her the charges she faced, she asked what she had done wrong.
