The Cowichan Secondary School dual campus public discussion scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 28 at 6:30 p.m. has been postponed, according to a release from the Cowichan Valley school district.
At a board of education meeting Jan. 19, schools superintendent Rod Allen put forward the idea that trustees should consider splitting Cowichan Secondary’s two campuses into two distinct schools, each with its own emphasis.
Asking the public for its opinion is a major part of this discussion and so trustees, after deciding to look into a possible split, planned a public session this week. However, that has not worked out, so that date has been shelved. Watch the www.sd79.bc.ca for additional information.
