Relay for Life Comox Valley is having an early kick-off.
Ever wonder what Relay for Life is all about?
This 12-hour overnight relay that raises funds for local cancer patient services and research is having an open to the public kick-off event on Thursday, April 16 from 6:30-8 p.m. This is an open house event at the Best Western Westerly at 1590 Cliffe Ave. in Courtenay.
“We will have information about joining Relay, signing up for our free Cancer Survivor Celebration, day-of volunteer opportunities, and people can even pre-purchase luminaries for only $5 to remember a loved one lost to cancer,” said event organizer Tracy Berg.
The 2015 Comox Valley Relay for Life will take place this year at the Vanier track on Saturday, June 6 from 7 p.m. to Sunday, June 7 at 7 a.m.
