An early-morning fire at an Abbotsford lumber yard was quickly extinguished by fire crews.
Three fire-station crews were dispatched to Absolute Lumber on McCallum Road just after 6:30 a.m., March 11, to contain a fire initially caused by a blower motor, according to emergency scanners.
Crews hooked up fire hoses to nearby hydrants and dampened the flames before it spread to nearby lumber. The fire was completely out by 7 a.m.
